Rachel is a Hampshire-based ceramicist, crafting functional pottery which often embeds soft, illustrative images into everyday ware.

In 2023 she studied and completed her BA(hons) in Fine Art from Falmouth University, and has since been developing her ceramic practice alongside technician and teaching work.

A little about me! I’m Rachel, I’m 23 and work as a ceramicist in Hampshire. I studied Fine Art at Falmouth University, where I discovered the love for clay, particularly liking its slow processes and permanence through time. I enjoy making functional pottery, particularly when combined with illustrative work. The images often show a tenderness between ourselves and animals, and are inspired by a lost connection to non-human relationships and our natural world. I make my work alongside teaching and working as a technician at Loam pottery studio🪴
