Rachel is a ceramic artist based in Hampshire, drawn to ceramics for its tactile nature, layered processes, and ability to hold time.

Each piece is hand made with care and intention. Her work includes functional wares and decorative objects, all deeply inspired by the intimate connections we share with food, family, and daily routine.

A little about me! I’m Rachel, I’m 23 and work as a ceramicist in Hampshire. I studied Fine Art at Falmouth University, where I discovered the love for clay, particularly liking its slow processes and permanence through time. I enjoy making functional pottery, particularly when combined with illustrative work. The images often show a tenderness between ourselves and animals, and are inspired by a lost connection to non-human relationships and our natural world. I make my work alongside teaching and working as a technician at Loam pottery studio🪴
